Job summary

International Maritime Industries seeks an experienced electrical isolation specialist to lead PTW-controlled work, verify de-energization, and manage LOTO procedures for safe shipyard operations.

You will prepare switching programs, verify documentation, and ensure proper isolation certificates are issued. Strong attention to detail, drawing interpretation skills, and effective communication with PTW stakeholders are essential to maintain safe energization sequences.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Safety, or related field.
• NEBOSH IGC (Preferred)
• NEBOSH Process Safety (Desirable)
• NFPA 70E
• NFPA 70 (NEC) (Desirable)
• OSHA 30 Hrs.
• IOSH
• PTW Certifications (preferred).
• SIMOPS Awareness Training (preferred).
• Confined Space Entry, Hot Work, and LOTO Training (preferred).
• Electrical Safety Awareness (required).

Responsibilities

• Execute electrical isolations and de-isolations for PTW-controlled work.
• Prepare, verify, and implement switching programs and isolation plans.
• Apply and control LOTO devices and ensure locks are applied only by authorized personnel.
• Verify zero-energy state before work and document isolation results.
• Issue and maintain electrical isolation certificates and registers.
• Coordinate SIMOPS and handovers to ensure isolations remain effective.
• Suspend PTW and isolation activities when unsafe or misdocumentation; resume only when controlled.
• Restore energization and properly close out permits and certificates.
