Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Electrical Inspector to ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and project specifications across diverse construction and infrastructure sites.

The role involves inspecting systems, reviewing drawings, and coordinating with contractors and engineers while upholding high safety practices. Travel to project sites in the region will be required; fluency in English is essential, Arabic is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Professional certification as an Electrical Inspector is preferred.
• Proven experience as an Electrical Inspector or similar role in the construction industry.
• In‑depth knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Proficiency in relevant software applications for documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of electrical systems, equipment, and installations to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and specifications.
• Review electrical plans, drawings, and blueprints to assess regulatory compliance.
• Monitor and enforce adherence to local and international electrical codes and safety standards.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting findings and corrective actions.
• Maintain records of inspections, approvals, and rejections for regulatory purposes.
• Liaise with contractors, engineers, and project managers to address compliance issues.
• Promote and uphold electrical safety protocols and perform safety inspections.
