Job summary

SGS is seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Commissioning Engineer for a major Tier III/AI Data Center project in Saudi Arabia. The role requires hands-on testing and commissioning of large-scale power systems and integrated infrastructure, coordinating multiple teams to ensure reliability and safety.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in electrical testing and commissioning, with strong documentation and stakeholder-management skills, and a track record of delivering complex data center

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognised university.
• 12+ years of experience in electrical engineering, testing and commissioning.
• Hands-on experience with Tier III/Tier IV or hyperscale Data Centers and high‑voltage power systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical testing and commissioning activities across Data Center levels from initial inspections to handover.
• Oversee HV/MV/LV systems, substations, transformers, switchgear, UPS, generators, ATS and critical power distribution.
• Plan, review and execute commissioning procedures, test scripts, method statements and risk assessments.
