Job summary

Ultimate Peaks Talent & Strategy in Saudi Arabia seeks a Director of Legal to lead the legal function, advising senior leadership on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters while safeguarding the organisation's strategic objectives.

The role requires deep Saudi law expertise, strong business judgment, and a proven track record in building high-performing legal teams, managing governance, contracts, disputes, and regulatory changes. This position is based on-site in Riyadh.

Qualifications

• Requires a Saudi-legal degree (Law or Sharia) with postgraduate qualification preferred.
• Extensive Saudi experience including senior leadership in established org or law firm.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi corporate, commercial, employment, and regulatory matters.
• Proven experience negotiating complex agreements and managing disputes.
• Experience advising executive leadership and boards.
• Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management and team leadership skills.
• Fluent in Arabic and English; capable of legal drafting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the organisation's legal strategy, priorities, and operating model.
• Advise leadership on legal risks, commercial transactions, and strategic initiatives.
• Oversee drafting, review, and negotiation of commercial contracts.
• Advise on corporate governance, board and shareholder matters, and authorities.
• Manage litigation, disputes, settlements, and external counsel.
• Support employment, procurement, technology, and investment matters.
• Monitor developments and guide required regulatory changes.
• Build and develop the legal team, policies, templates, contract management.
