Job summary

Seder Group Trading and Contracting in Saudi Arabia is seeking a diesel generator technician to perform routine maintenance, inspections and repairs to ensure optimal performance of generator sets.

You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, replace defective components, test generator capacity with load bank testing, and install/commission new sets with proper connection and startup, while keeping detailed service records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational diesel training highly advantageous.
• ASE certification or generator manufacturer training preferred.
• Proven experience with industrial or commercial power generation systems.
• Strong understanding of diesel engines, electrical systems, and control panels.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software and specialized tools for diesel engines and generators.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify root causes.
• Performs maintenance, repairs and service on generator systems.

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in diesel generator systems utilizing diagnostic tools and technical expertise.

Repair and replace faulty components such as fuel injectors, alternators, starters and control panels with precision and efficiency.

Conduct load bank testing to verify generator capacity and performance under various operating conditions.

Install and commission new diesel generator sets ensuring proper connection, configuration and initial startup.

Maintain detailed service records documenting all maintenance, repairs and parts used for accurate tracking and reporting.

Qualifications

• Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational training in diesel mechanics is highly advantageous.
• Certification from recognized bodies such as ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) or specific generator manufacturer training.
• Proven experience working with industrial or commercial power generation systems.
