Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an MEP Design Manager in Saudi Arabia to oversee the design, coordination, and integration of MEP systems from concept through construction. You will manage consultants and internal teams, ensuring compliance with local codes and international standards while driving value engineering and stakeholder interfaces.

The role requires 10-15 years in MEP design/coordination with at least 3 years in management, plus experience on hospitality or leisure projects.

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of experience in MEP design and coordination.
• At least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale hospitality or leisure projects (hotels, resorts, entertainment venues).
• PMC experience is a must.
• Familiarity with BIM workflows and clash detection platforms (Navisworks).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the MEP design process across all project stages—concept, schematic, detailed design, and construction.
• Coordinate between architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines to ensure fully integrated designs.
• Review and approve MEP design documents, calculations, specifications, and drawings for quality, accuracy, and compliance.
• Manage external MEP consultants and internal teams to meet project goals and timelines.
• Ensure designs comply with local codes, international standards, and sustainability requirements.
• Oversee design submissions, technical reports, and authority approvals.
• Facilitate design workshops, technical meetings, and value engineering sessions.
• Support procurement by providing technical input during tender reviews and supplier evaluations.
• Resolve technical issues during construction and provide support for site implementation.

• Previous PMC experience is a must
• Strong knowledge of building systems, codes, and standards.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and relevant design and coordination tools.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
• Certification or membership in relevant professional bodies
• Familiarity with BIM workflows and clash detection platforms (e.g., Navisworks)
