We are seeking a Design Manager to lead and manage the coordination of multi-disciplinary design and design-review projects across a range of sectors including buildings, infrastructure, landscape, and master planning.
This role sits on the consultant side and focuses on design governance, technical integration, authority compliance, and stakeholder.
Lead and manage the coordination of multi-disciplinary design teams, ensuring alignment across architectural, structural, MEP, infrastructure, and specialist disciplines
Oversee design development and design review activities from concept through detailed design and IFC.
Ensure consistency with the client brief, design intent, project objectives, and applicable regulations
Coordinate design submissions, responses to comments, and revisions arising from client, authority, and third-party reviews
Act as the central point of contact for design interfaces and technical integration
Manage and coordinate sub-consultants, ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables aligned with scope and programme
Chair design coordination meetings and workshops, issuing clear actions and follow-ups
Support project management functions including programme tracking, progress reporting, and risk identification
Ensure design documentation meets consultancy QA/QC procedures and project quality requirements
Maintain structured records of design decisions, approvals, and technical correspondence
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related discipline.
Minimum 10 years’ professional experience in design coordination, design management, or similar roles
Proven experience working within an engineering or multidisciplinary consultancy environment
Strong understanding of design development workflows and approval processes
Experience coordinating projects in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East is strongly preferred
Strong ability to interpret and coordinate technical design information across disciplines
Knowledge of local authority requirements, codes, and regulatory frameworks
Experience managing complex design interfaces and resolving coordination issues
Strong planning, reporting, and document control skills
Comfortable working in structured, programme-driven consultancy environments
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
Strong leadership and coordination capability
Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem solving
Able to manage multiple workstreams and priorities under tight deadlines
