Job summary

Hamat Company is seeking a Design Manager to lead and manage retail design, tenant design reviews, and fit-out delivery across its malls. The role requires managing design governance, ensuring consistency in design quality, and coordinating with tenants, consultants, and contractors to deliver mall enhancements.

The company specializes in the development and management of retail and commercial destinations, focusing on creating high-quality retail environments and enhancing customer experiences through effective asset development, tenant management, design, and operational excellence.

We are looking to hire a Design Manager to lead and manage retail design, tenant design review, fit-out delivery, and design governance activities across the Company's malls. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring consistency in design quality, compliance with approved standards, effective stakeholder coordination, and the successful delivery of fit-out and mall enhancement initiatives.

1. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage retail design, tenant design reviews, and fit-out activities across the Company's malls.
• Ensure tenant designs and fit-out projects comply with approved design standards, specifications, quality, and operational requirements.
• Develop and maintain retail design guidelines, fit-out manuals, and design governance standards across all retail assets.
• Coordinate with tenants, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth design and fit-out delivery.
• Lead mall enhancement and design improvement initiatives to enhance customer experience, asset value, and overall design quality.

2. Qualifications & Experience

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electro-mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering design, with proven experience in leading design teams or functions.
• Proven experience in retail design, tenant design review, and fit-out projects.
• Strong experience in technical leadership, project management, and coordination with tenants, consultants, and contractors.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, planning, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
