Confidential Company is seeking a senior Design Manager to lead the design management for large-scale cultural and tourism projects in Riyadh. You will establish design systems, review deliverables, and drive decision-making on major technical issues, coordinating architecture, structure, MEP, landscape, thematic packaging, and entertainment systems.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in design management or large-scale projects with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in large-scale cultural and tourism projects, complexes, themed hotels, or large public buildings preferred.
• Familiar with design processes and interface management across architecture, structure, MEP, landscape, and thematic disciplines.

Responsabilidades

• Take full responsibility for design management of cultural and tourism projects.
• Establish design management systems, workflows, and design review mechanisms.
• Coordinate design work across architecture, structure, MEP, landscape, thematic packaging, and entertainment systems.
• Organize preparation of design task books, plans, and reviews to meet contract requirements and codes.
• Manage design coordination and resolve interface conflicts among owners, institutes, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and construction teams.
• Organize design optimization and value engineering, control changes, and align design with budgets and schedules.
• Make decisions on major technical issues, risk management, and team management.
• Drive transformation of design deliverables into on-site construction results.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the design management of cultural and tourism projects
• Establish design management systems, workflows, technical standards, and design review mechanisms
• Coordinate the overall design work across various disciplines including architecture, structure, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing), landscape, thematic packaging, artificial scenery, thematic finishes, thematic flooring, ride and entertainment systems, and other specialized designs
• Organize the preparation of design task books, formulation of design plans, review of design deliverables, review of construction drawings, and design handovers ensuring that design deliverables meet contract requirements, codes, functions, and thematic experience requirements
• Comprehensively manage design coordination and resolve professional interface conflicts among owners, design institutes, theme design consultants, equipment suppliers, professional subcontractors, and construction teams
• Organize design optimization and value engineering analysis, control design changes, and coordinate the relationship between design schemes, project budgets, construction schedules, and on-site conditions
• Be responsible for decision‑making on major technical issues, design risk management and control, design schedule assessment, and team management
• Drive the smooth transformation of design deliverables into on‑site construction results

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Engineering Management, or related majors
• 12+ years of experience in design management or large‑scale engineering projects, with at least 5 years of experience as a design management team leader
• Experience in large‑scale cultural and tourism projects, cultural and tourism complexes, themed hotels, or large‑scale public building projects; candidates with experience in complete design management for cultural and tourism projects are preferred
• Familiar with the design processes and interface management of architecture, structure, MEP, landscape, and thematic packaging disciplines; capable of reviewing construction drawings, reviewing design changes, and coordinating on‑site technical issues
• Strong team management, cross‑departmental coordination, cost awareness, and problem‑solving skills
• English can be used as a working language; candidates with overseas project experience are preferred
