Job description

Reporting into the Technical Director based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, your main objective will be to ensure that all products are designed and manufactured in compliance with customer requirements and relevant standards. You will also be responsible for establishing the most effective processes and operations for manufacturing lighting products.

Additionally, your responsibilities will include:

1. Overseeing the planning of the design process and managing work among design teams.
2. Launching projects to standardize basic manufactured components across the business.
3. Promoting integration of design and engineering activities within the company.
4. Conducting continuous design reviews and improving existing products.
5. Performing design verification and validation for new products to ensure conformity and suitability.
6. Evaluating new products in accordance with specifications, coordinating with Production, Tool Shop, Purchase, and Quality Departments.
7. Monitoring design records, especially drawings and technical references, ensuring they are up-to-date.
8. Completing design tasks within specified timeframes.
9. Providing technical support to the sales department, including attending meetings, visiting customer sites, and preparing technical documents.
10. Planning and establishing economical production processes, including machine selection and operational sequencing.
11. Defining the production methods and ensuring implementation on the shop floor.

The selection criteria are:

1. A technical degree in engineering.
2. Minimum of 10 years of design and engineering experience in manufacturing, preferably in the lighting industry.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD Inventor.
4. Strong knowledge of sheet metal and tooling technology.
