Job description

Master-Works is seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Data Governance Consultant to enhance our data management practices and ensure robust data governance across the organization. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing effective data governance frameworks that promote data quality, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Formulate and establish data governance policies, standards, and procedures that align with business goals.
  2. Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify data-related risks and implement appropriate remediation strategies.
  3. Conduct data quality assessments and audits, and provide actionable insights for improvement.
  4. Educate and train team members on data governance principles and best practices to foster a data-driven culture.
  5. Regularly review and report on data governance initiatives and their effectiveness in achieving organizational objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  2. Informatica expertise - EDC, and Axon.
  3. At least 5 years of relevant experience in data governance or a related data management role.
  4. In-depth knowledge of data governance frameworks and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  5. Strong experience with data quality metrics, data lifecycle management, and data compliance.
  6. Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  7. Highly analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Professional certifications in data governance (e.g., CDMP, DGSP).
  2. Hands-on experience with data governance tools and technologies.
  3. Knowledge of data privacy laws and compliance requirements.
