Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority is seeking a Data Governance Lead to drive governance programs ensuring data is consistent, secure, accurate, audited and well documented. You will supervise governance activities, advise on improvements, and support teams in implementing policies.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science or Computer Science and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. Excellent understanding of data governance, security, and compliance is essential.

Aufgaben

• Follow-up on data governance latest news, trends, best practices and international standards to define needed updates in data governance policies, standards and procedures
• Review NDMO approved standards and policies to recommend updates in ZATCA’s current data guides and ensure adherence with NDMO requirements
• Manage the implementation of data governance activities across ZATCA’s functions identifying noncompliant cases and ensure timely resolution
• Review functions and duties to allocate access rights to internal stakeholders and ensure limited information access securing data protection
• Develop and update information controls to protect ZATCA from unauthorized access, breaches and vulnerability
• Escalate complex problems to the relevant person to ensure cases/issues are closed properly
• Support junior staff or direct reports in order to execute their duties according to set policies and processes

Purpose of Job

Jobholders at this level are responsible for leading work activities and working autonomously with minor direction towards predetermined long-term objectives.

Jobholders might act as internal consultants and facilitators through providing guidance to deliver and perform operational activities.

Their main operational role includes providing guidance in developing data governance roadmap and programs to ensure that data is consistent, secure, accurate, audited and documented, supervising data governance activities to advise on corrective actions, providing expertise in identifying improvement areas and recommending improvement actions to minimize facing data issues.

Job Responsibilities
