Job summary

Amazon Inc. seeks a Security Specialist Intern to support the day-to-day physical security operations at a AWS data center in Saudi Arabia. You will work with security vendors, review metrics, and help improve surveillance and access controls while reporting to management.

This 12-week, full-time internship offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and potential path to a full-time role based on performance and business needs.

Qualifications

• In pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Security Management, Criminology, or a related field, graduating in 2027 - before the internship’s end date
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment, with strong time management skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with vendors involved in new security construction, repairs, daily security operations and patrols, and planning
• Analyze security metrics and data to identify trends and recommend improvements
• Make suggestions on improving electronic surveillance systems and access controls
• Help develop and deliver guidance to data center occupants on reducing false alarms
• Write reports and create presentations on the status of physical security operations for management
• Assist with planning and coordinating security-related projects
• Support incident documentation and follow-up processes
