Job Overview
The Cybersecurity Specialist at Al Qadsiah Club is responsible for monitoring, protecting, and strengthening the organization’s IT systems and networks against cybersecurity threats. The role ensures compliance with cybersecurity policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices, while actively responding to incidents and contributing to a secure and resilient IT environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and protect IT systems, networks, and digital assets against cybersecurity threats and attacks.
- Review security alerts, analyze security incidents, and respond promptly and effectively to mitigate risks.
- Implement, maintain, and enforce approved cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures.
- Manage and monitor security technologies including Firewalls, Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint protection solutions.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, periodic security testing, and risk assessments; provide recommendations for remediation and improvements.
- Monitor security system updates and software patches, ensuring timely and secure implementation.
- Prepare periodic cybersecurity reports and submit findings, risks, and recommendations to relevant management.
- Collaborate with IT teams (Networks, Systems, Helpdesk) to strengthen the overall security posture of the organization.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements, internal policies, and relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., NCA and applicable national standards).
- Contribute to cybersecurity awareness programs and provide guidance, best practices, and security recommendations to employees.
- Participate in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning from a cybersecurity perspective.
- Support security investigations, document incidents, root causes, and corrective actions taken.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- CEH, Security+, CISSP, CISM, or similar cybersecurity certifications.
Experience
- Proven experience in cybersecurity operations, security monitoring, or IT security roles.
- Experience with vulnerability management and incident response processes.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and security monitoring tools.

- Familiarity with cybersecurity standards and regulatory frameworks (e.g., NCA, ISO 27001, or similar).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and incident-handling skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional IT teams.
