Job summary

Innovative Solutions is seeking a Security Operation Center Analyst - L1 to join our GCC-based SOC team in Riyadh. You will monitor security events, perform initial triage, and respond to potential threats using a range of security tools.

Responsibilities include incident containment, collaboration with teammates, documentation, and staying current with threats and industry trends. Shift work and on-call rotation are part of the role, with a focus on maintaining strong security posture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• Certifications such as Security+, Network+, CISSP, or CEH preferred.
• Knowledge of information security concepts and best practices.
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus, firewalls, and EPP.
• Strong communication and collaboration across teams.
• Ability to work in shifts and on-call rotation.

As a Security Operation Center Analyst - L1 at Innovative Solutions, you will play a crucial role in our dedicated SOC team. Your primary responsibility will be to monitor security events and incidents, conducting initial triage and response. You will utilize various security tools to detect, analyze, and respond to potential threats, working collaboratively with your teammates to ensure a strong security posture.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security events and alerts from various security sources
• Triage and analyze security incidents and determine appropriate response actions
• Perform initial incident response tasks, including containment and remediation
• Collaborate with other members of the SOC team to investigate and resolve security incidents
• Document and report security incidents and response activities
• Maintain and update documentation of security processes and procedures
• Conduct basic analysis of network traffic and log data to identify potential threats
• Stay updated with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends
• Participate in regular training and knowledge sharing sessions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
• Relevant certifications such as Security+, Network+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) preferred
• Knowledge of information security concepts, principles, and best practices
• Experience or knowledge of security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus, firewalls, and endpoint protection
• Understanding of network protocols and TCP/IP fundamentals
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Keen attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to work in shifts and participate in on-call rotation
