Reports to the Curriculum and Testing Officer-In-Charge (OIC) andfunctions as an Instructional System Design Specialist and CurriculumSpecialist under the direct supervision of the RSAF.

Uses theInstructional Systems Development (ISD) process as defined under RSAF manualsand directives.

Assists andadvises in the development of ISD plans for functional users in accordance withRSAF directives.

Evaluateseffectiveness of ISD projects, studies, programs and materials produced by others.Makes recommendations to improve same as required.

Advises andassists training personnel and others engaged in ISD training projects.

Develops andtrains other staff on developing curriculum.

Assistseducation and training requirements and provides technical evaluation oftraining material and related test measurements.

Providesadvisory and technical assistance and recommends measures to correctdeficiencies.

Plans andconducts OJT in accordance with RSAF directives.

Performs otherrelated duties as directed.

Requirements

Knowledgeof instructional systems development technology; test and measurementtechniques; job and task analysis procedures; techniques for conducting studiesto determine priorities for applying instructional systems development; designof course control documents and training materials; development ofinstructional materials; editing practices; validation and implementationprocedures; and application of instructional media is mandatory. Knowledge ofcomputer application is mandatory. Completion of an ISD course is mandatory.Graduate of an accredited instructor/teacher training course is desirable.BA degree in education is desirable.
