Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience in developing crisis communication strategies.

  • Support strategic initiatives by developing and maintaining a crisis plan.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects within a busy media team.
  • Utilize corporate reputation tracking data to inform messaging and engagement.
  • Develop KPIs to measure impact of crisis communications strategies.
  • Provide advice on crisis media issues to senior leaders.
  • Attend cross-functional crisis drills and report on outcomes.
  • Support crisis communications activities and crisis preparedness.

Overview

We are seeking a Crisis Communications and Issues Management Specialist join our Monitoring and Coordination Division.

Monitoring and Coordination Division is responsible for handling monitoring of Aramco’s media mentions and dealing with crisis communications.

Your primary role is to assess and deal with crisis and reputation issues when they happen. Additionally, develop mitigation plans and responses to media questions, also review and update the corporate crisis communications manual and conduct drills and training for staff.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Update the Crisis Communications Manual on a monthly basis, gain approval, and prepare copies for management on a quarterly basis.
  • Assist business lines with their Crisis Communications manuals & training requirements.
  • Ensure that the Media room is running and updated with current technology and equipment.
  • Conduct weekly video conference testing in collaboration with other functions.
  • Respond to incidents or issues that have the potential to damage the Company’s reputation.
  • Prepare communications as needed during an incident or threat to the Company’s brand.
  • Support Corporate Communication strategic initiatives by developing and maintaining a crisis plan.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects and initiatives within a busy media team.
  • Leverage available enterprise data and research (e.g. corporate reputation tracking data and stakeholder insights) to inform future communication strategies, content creation and engagement.
  • Develop KPIs and metrics to measure the effectiveness and impact of crisis communications strategies.
  • Provide functional support and advice on crisis media issues to senior leaders in the organization.
  • Attend cross functional crisis drills, provide support and ensure accountability reporting on outcomes of attendance and participation at such events.
  • Support the Company’s crisis communications activities, crisis preparedness, and media handling during crisis incidents.
Minimum Requirements
  • You will hold a Bachelor’s degree in in the fields of Mass Communications, Risk Management, Public Relations, Journalism, Crisis Management, or related field from a recognized and approved program.
  • You will have 10 years of experience in developing crisis communication strategies.
