Qualifications

• Minimum exp 10 years of experience in cost management within the engineering and construction industry.
• Proven expertise in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project delivery methods, and industry standards.
• Proficiency with cost management software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Experience with contract management and vendor negotiation.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Experience working on projects in the Middle East or Saudi Arabia (preferred).
• Knowledge of Saudi Arabian construction regulations and compliance requirements (preferred).
• Experience in risk management and contingency planning (preferred).
• Proven track record of implementing cost control measures and achieving cost savings.
• Professional certification in cost management or related field (preferred).
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive cost estimates and budgets for engineering and construction projects of varying complexity and scale
• Monitor and analyze project expenditures against approved budgets, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions
• Prepare detailed cost reports and financial forecasts for project stakeholders and senior management
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses and feasibility studies to support project decision-making
• Manage contract negotiations with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to optimize costs without compromising quality
• Maintain accurate cost documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards
• Utilize cost management software and ERP systems to track, record, and report financial data
• Collaborate with project teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficiency improvements
• Review change orders and assess their financial impact on project budgets
• Provide cost management guidance and support to project managers and engineering teams
• Ensure adherence to Saudi Arabian construction regulations and local compliance requirements
• Participate in project meetings and present cost performance metrics to stakeholders

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Manager to join our Engineering & Construction team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
