The Corporate Credit Controller Unit Head is responsible for overseeing corporate credit control operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, effective risk management, and timely handling of credit-related activities. The role involves leading the credit control team, monitoring daily operations, and coordinating with internal departments to maintain strong credit control practices while supporting customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that departmental credit control policies and procedures are properly applied and adhered to by the team.
- Manage and lead the credit control team by providing continuous guidance, support, and performance monitoring.
- Provide regular reports and updates on credit control activities, highlighting risks, issues, and recommendations for improvement.
- Support customer relationship management by coordinating closely with Sales and Customer Service to balance credit enforcement with customer satisfaction.
- Follow up on all complaints related to credit control processes and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.
- Oversee the safekeeping, recording, depositing, and withdrawal of corporate client documents and files to ensure proper security and compliance.
- Supervise the valuation of guarantees and ensure conformity with original documents, providing recommendations to ensure adequate credit coverage.
- Oversee asset delivery processes to ensure compliance with approved terms and conditions, customer satisfaction, and company objectives.
- Ensure proper safeguarding mechanisms are applied for all corporate client files.
- Ensure corporate client licensing processes are completed in compliance with company policies and approved credit terms.
- Oversee the safeguarding of customers’ bills and ensure proper handling procedures are followed.
- Ensure secure handling and safekeeping of customers’ additional keys.
- Oversee insurance processes to ensure full compliance with policy terms, conditions, and company requirements.
Qualifications and Professional Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
Job Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit control or related functions.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
- Proven experience in monitoring, controlling, and reporting on credit control activities.
