Job summary

Teef Najd Group invites applications for an experienced Contract Engineer. The role focuses on civil or architectural contracts, with an emphasis on FIDIC contract administration throughout the project lifecycle.

You will protect contractual rights and support the project team in commercial matters. The ideal candidate has 6+ years in construction contracts, strong negotiation and analytical skills, and proficiency with MS Office; Primavera experience is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering is required.
• 6+ years of experience in construction/project contracts.
• Extensive experience with FIDIC contracts and contract administration.
• Knowledge of Claims Management, Variations, EOT, Delay Analysis, and Dispute Resolution.
• Experience with contractors, consultants, clients, and project teams.
• Understanding of drawings, BOQs, schedules and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage contracts in line with project procedures.
• Apply FIDIC Red, Yellow, and Silver Books to contracts.
• Review contracts, specs, drawings, BOQs and docs.
• Manage variations, claims, EOT, notices, payments, and final accounts.
• Assess claims, variations, delays, and entitlements.
• Identify risks and support dispute resolution and negotiations.
• Prepare contractual correspondence and documentation.
• Coordinate with PM, Engineering, Planning, Cost Control, Procurement, and Legal teams.
• Maintain registers for contracts, claims, variations and correspondence.
• Provide contractual and commercial support across projects.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Contract Engineer with a strong background in Civil or Architectural Engineering and extensive experience in contract administration, particularly FIDIC contracts. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing contractual matters throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, protecting the company's contractual rights, and supporting the project team in commercial and contractual matters

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and manage construction, Fit-Out, and Joint Venture (JV) contracts in accordance with contractual requirements and project procedures
• Strong practical knowledge and experience with FIDIC contracts, including Red, Yellow, and Silver Books
• Review and interpret contracts, specifications, drawings, BOQs, and project documentation
• Manage Variations, Claims, EOT, contractual notices, payment certificates, and final accounts
• Evaluate contractor/subcontractor claims, variations, delays, and contractual entitlements
• Identify contractual risks and support claims prevention, dispute resolution, and negotiations
• Prepare and manage contractual correspondence, notices, and supporting documentation
• Coordinate with Project Management, Engineering, Planning, Cost Control, Procurement, and Legal teams
• Maintain Contract, Claims, Variation, and Correspondence Registers
• Provide contractual and commercial support throughout the project lifecycle, including building, architectural, Fit-Out, and JV projects

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering
• 6+ years of relevant experience in construction/project contracts, preferably on major infrastructure, building, or development projects
• Extensive practical experience in FIDIC contracts and contract administration
• Strong knowledge of Claims Management, Variations, EOT, Delay Analysis, and Dispute Resolution
• Experience working with contractors, consultants, clients, and project management teams
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, BOQs, schedules, and project documentation
• Excellent contractual writing, negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Primavera is an advantage
