Job summary

HudsonManpower is seeking an experienced Construction Mechanical Engineer to oversee mechanical construction activities for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Refinery projects in Saudi Arabia. You will ensure safe, efficient execution in line with drawings, specs, schedules, and client requirements.

The role requires at least 8 years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of mechanical systems, and excellent English communication and reporting skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate mechanical construction and installation activities at project sites.
• Ensure execution of mechanical works per drawings, specs, method statements, and schedules.
• Coordinate with Construction Managers, Planning, Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, Procurement, and subcontractors.
• Monitor daily progress and ensure activities meet planned schedules.
• Supervise installation of equipment, piping, valves, pumps, compressors, tanks, and related systems.
• Review drawings, material requirements, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and allocate manpower, equipment, and materials.
• Monitor site activities and resolve technical construction issues with engineering teams.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and client requirements.
• Coordinate with QA/QC for inspections, testing, and completion of works.
• Ensure strict adherence to HSE, permits, and site safety standards.
• Participate in site meetings and progress reviews with clients and contractors.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Identify delays and work with planning for corrective actions.
• Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, shutdown, turnaround, and maintenance where applicable.
• Ensure proper documentation, punch-lists, as-built info, and handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Mechanical Construction.
• Strong experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Refinery projects.
• Relevant Mechanical Engineering qualification.
• Strong hands-on experience in mechanical construction and site execution.
• Shutdown & Turnaround experience is highly preferred.
• Experience in equipment installation, piping, mechanical systems, and associated construction activities.
• Candidates with Saudi Arabia / GCC experience will be preferred.
• Good knowledge of construction procedures, specifications, drawings, and safety requirements.
• Strong coordination, supervision, and problem-solving skills.
• Good English communication and reporting skills.
