Job summary

SPIE Global Services Energy in Saudi Arabia seeks a senior Commissioning HVAC Specialist to lead pre-commissioning and commissioning activities following OPERCOM® methodology, safely and on schedule.

You will coordinate with EPCC contractor teams, review dossiers, supervise equipment tests, and ensure a smooth transition to start-up. Fluent English is required; Arabic is a plus; 15+ years in Oil & Gas with HVAC exposure is expected.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in Oil & Gas industry, including ~10 years in HVAC and refrigeration packages pre-commissioning and commissioning.
• Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all HVAC commissioning activities and ensure safety priority (HSE).
• Review test procedures and approve quality deliverables.
• Witness and monitor pre-commissioning and commissioning activities with EPCC contractors.
• Supervise pre-commissioning and commissioning of HVAC packages, including functional and logic tests and air balancing.

Basic Functions:

• The primary function of the Commissioning HVAC Specialist is to ensure that all pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for HVAC discipline are prepared and executed according to the OPERCOM® methodology in a safe manner and according to the planned schedule.

Main Accountabilities:

• The main accountabilities include ensuring that Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) is given the highest priority, coordinating and approving the quality and completeness of deliverables, assisting Commissioning Unit leaders in witnessing and monitoring pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, reviewing pre-commissioning dossiers, and ensuring the care and maintenance of equipment by EPCC Contractor.
• The specialist is also responsible for monitoring all HVAC commissioning activities, reviewing and commenting on test procedures, and liaising with other teams to ensure a smooth transition from commissioning to start-up phase.
• At least 15 years of experience in Oil&Gas industry, including ~10 years of HVAC and refrigeration packages Pre-commissioning and Commissioning
• Experience in preparation and execution of Air Filtration Units, Humidifier Units, Air Handling Units (AHU); Air Cooled Condensing Units (ACCU) including refrigerant charging, and Ductwork testing.
• Responsible to supervise pre-commissioning and commissioning activities of HVAC packages, including functional tests, logic test, and final air balancing.
• The candidate should be methodic, organized, have a good team spirit, and be fluent in English, with Arabic being a plus.
