Infrastructure/Migration Engineer works under Project Delivery organization with primary role to support infrastructure-related project activities from design to implementation. He/she will be responsible for sizing/planning, installation, maintenance, and support for On-Premise and Cloud environments. Infrastructures include development, prototyping, testing, training, and production environments as applicable for each project.
The support includes but not limited to virtualization, segmentation, and firewall / security configuration to ensure reliability, security, and optimized life-cycle performance necessary for installed solutions. Also, Infrastructure Engineer is expected to work with cross-functional delivery teams.
- Manage, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, IIS).
- Assess existing on-premise application infrastructure and dependencies to determine cloud migration readiness, including servers, databases, storage, network, security, and application components.
- Participate in application migration planning and execution from on-premise environments to cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Perform patch management, vulnerability assessment, and remediation across servers
- Administer and configure firewalls, VPNs, and security policies to protect enterprise networks.
- Manage software deployment and updates
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents, and ensure high availability and disaster
- recovery readiness.
- Implement and enforce IT security best practices, compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with security and network teams to address threats, alerts, and vulnerabilities
- Maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting
- steps.
- Understanding of network protocols, security principles, and server hardening techniques.
- Experience with backup/recovery solutions
- Responsible to maintain and monitor infrastructure health.
- Responsible to maintain and update IT security base line documents.
- Responsible for setting up Production, Development and QA environments.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Academic: BSc in computer engineering or similar field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 Years experience involving infrastructure design and deployment for complex applications.
- Operating Systems:
- Experience in Windows and/or Linux (tools like Ubuntu, Redhat, CentOS, etc.) server OS’s.
- Experienced in tools such as VMWare / Microsoft HyperV and KVM.
- Experienced in virtualization of network, data centers, and storage management.
- Server Administration: Working knowledge in admin activities such as below.
- Storage: Backup of data / recovery images, fault-tolerance, redundancy, etc.
- Performance monitoring with tools such as Datadog, Grafana/Prometheus, etc.
- Migration activities from/to virtualized platforms.
- Network Administration:
- Experience in Load Balancer (Traffic proxy/distribution) especially F5.
- Cybersecurity Controls:
- Experinced in security control tools such as XDR, Firewalls/WAFs, Micro Segmentation, Zero-Trust Framework, API Protection, Active Directory, penetration and hardening tests, etc)).
- Fundamental knowledge in OT cybersecurity architectures and layers especially DMZ and topology as per ISA95.
- cloud services, network architecture, data storage redundancy, availability, and recovery solutions.
- Practical experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP
- Resource Management/Scheduling systems:
- Knowledgeable about tools like Slurm (for Linux), LSF, etc.
- Infrastructure Integration
- Basic knowledge in BI/DSV infrastructure integration/configuration requirements
- Knowledgeable in dataflows/structures from/to historians such as PI.
- Knowledgeable in integration / configuration with SAP/ERPs.
- Working knowledge of decentralized architecture design patterns and distributed systems.
- Professional Certifications: Holds at least 1 Cybersecurity and 1 Virtualization certifications.

- Master’s degree is preferred.
- Holds project management certifications such as PMP
- Holds Azure/AWS/Google advanced certifications.
- Infrastructure-as-a-Code experience is a plus (e.g. Terraform/Terragrunt, Ansible, CDK, etc.)
- Scripting in Perl/Korn is a plus.
- Experience in data streaming (e.g. Kafka, Azure Event Hubs, AWS Kinesis, etc.) is preferred.
