Job summary

A leading cloud technology firm in Riyadh is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to support a large-scale digital transformation program. The role involves designing and deploying secure cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP, utilizing infrastructure as code practices. Candidates should have 5–10 years of Cloud Engineering experience with a solid understanding of hybrid infrastructures, and tools like Terraform. Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering or Infrastructure roles.
• Hands-on experience with at least one hyperscaler (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with hybrid environments (cloud + on-prem).
• Strong networking, security, and cloud architecture knowledge.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch or Grafana.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform/ARM).

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy scalable, secure cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform.
• Manage day-to-day cloud operations, including incident resolution.
• Operations & monitoring: ensure SLAs and KPIs are met.
• Manage day-to-day cloud operations including incident resolution.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions.
• Security & governance: configure access controls and cloud security policies.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams on risk mitigation.
• Support integration between on-premise and cloud environments.
• Work across multi-cloud or hybrid infrastructures; collaborate with architects, DevOps, and app teams.
• Support project delivery across multiple cloud initiatives.

Overview

About the Opportunity

We are supporting a large-scale enterprise digital transformation programme in Riyadh, focused on modernising cloud infrastructure across mission-critical systems. This role is ideal for a hands-on Senior Cloud Engineer who can design, deploy, secure, and operate cloud environments across multi-cloud and hybrid environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy scalable, secure cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Build and configure cloud environments from the ground up (greenfield and existing environments)
• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or similar
• Operations & Monitoring: Monitor performance across multiple environments and ensure systems meet SLAs and KPIs
• Manage day-to-day cloud operations, including incident resolution
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions
• Security & Governance: Configure access controls, identity management, and cloud security policies
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and best practices
• Work closely with cybersecurity teams on risk mitigation
• Support integration between on-premise and cloud environments
• Work across multi-cloud or hybrid infrastructures
• Work closely with architects, DevOps, and application teams
• Support project delivery across multiple cloud initiatives

Required Experience

• 5–10+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering or Infrastructure roles
• Hands-on experience with at least one hyperscaler:
• AWS
• Microsoft Azure
• Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with hybrid environments (cloud + on-prem)
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture principles
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g. CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Grafana, etc.)
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates, etc.)

Nice to Have

• Arabic language capability
• Experience in enterprise or government environments
• Certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
