Job summary

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Saudi Arabia is seeking Medical Technologists to perform chemical, microscopic, immunological, and bacteriological testing for accurate diagnosis and treatment support.

The role requires registration with SCHS (and international equivalents), a Medical Technology degree, and 2–4 years of experience depending on grade. CME hours and quality programs are emphasized, with full-time, on-site work in the Automated Core Facility Section -M.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate Degree/Diploma in Medical Technology is required.
• Current Registration from country of origin and SCHS is required.
• Registration in MT(ASCP), CLS(NCA), or equivalent for international countries is required.
• Grade 08 requires 2 years of related experience; Grade 09 requires 4 years.
• Average annual performance appraisal rating of at least 3.5 for the last 4 years.
• 50 hours of cumulative CME are required.

Responsibilities

• Organizes daily work according to schedules of the subsection/section.
• Assists section supervisor in inter-shift/ inter-sectional communication.
• Ensures supplies are available; assists in ordering and inventory.
• Operates within cost effective practices of the section.
• Assists in evaluating new methodologies/equipment.
• Maintains records per hospital standards.
• Operates and maintains laboratory equipment.
• Maintains Quality Control and participates in Quality Assurance programs.
• Trains and provides continuing education to staff and residents.
