Job summary

Al Gihaz Holding seeks a Civil QA/QC professional to review project scope, designs, and quality plans, and to implement the Quality Management System on site.

You will inspect civil works, review material submittals, and coordinate with consultants and site managers to secure approvals and ensure compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in civil QA/QC, with proven experience in substation projects.
• Good knowledge of civil construction methods, inspection procedures, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Review Civil Scope of Work and Design, Method Statements, Project Quality Plan and Project Quality Control Procedure, Project Specification & Standards.
• Implement Quality Management System at sites.
• Carry out Civil work activities inspection at site.
• Coordinate with consultant's representative and Site In-charge for inspections and approvals.
• Review material submittals before client submission.
• Inspect all incoming material with reference to MIRN inspection procedure.
• Implement/use automation management tools such as Unifier, Oracle system, etc.
• Review, inspect & monitor subcontractor activities at site for QMS compliance.
• Attend weekly meetings with client.
• Address internal and client audits and close NCs or observations.
• Update weekly status to supervisors through QMTS.

Job Role :

• Review Civil Scope of Work and Design, Method Statements, Project Quality Plan and Project Quality Control Procedure, Project Specification & Standards
• Implement Quality Management System at sites
• Carry out Civil work activities inspection in the site
• Coordinate with the consultant's representative and Site In-charge for all types of inspections to get their approval
• Review material submittals before client submission
• Inspect all incoming material with reference to (MIRN) inspection procedure
• Implement / use automation management tools such as unifier, oracle system etc.
• Review, Inspect & monitor subcontractor activities at site if adhering to QMS requirements
• Attend weekly meetings with client
• Attend and address Internal and client audit, Close the concerns highlighted in the form of NCs or observations
• Follow up site issues with Project/site managers
• Prepare reports for the quality manager/supervisor of the company to highlight issues, detail the number of nonconformance made, and explain where improvements can be made
• Update weekly status to the departmental Supervisors/managers through Quality management & Tracking System (QMTS).
• Maintain quality records such as logbook of the work performed, Quality weekly report, Internal inspection report, Non-Conformance report (NCR), Design change request (DCR), tracking sheets, lesson learnt etc.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in civil QA/QC, with proven experience in substation projects.
• Good knowledge of civil construction methods, inspection procedures, and quality standards.
• Experience with concrete works, foundations, earthworks, roads, drainage, and other substation civil works.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and project specifications.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively on construction sites and coordinate with multiple project stakeholders.

Preferred

• Experience with electrical substation construction projects.
• Knowledge of applicable international standards and client specifications.
