Job summary

SGS is seeking a Civil Inspector to perform on-site inspections of buildings in Riyadh, ensuring compliance with Saudi building codes and international standards. You will conduct site visits, prepare detailed reports, and deliver findings within predefined timelines.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with 2–3 years of construction inspection experience, fluent English, and strong teamwork. Saudi nationals only; familiarity with the IDI program is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• 2–3 years of experience in construction, testing and inspection in civil engineering.
• Proven experience in Saudi Code and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits and inspect buildings per Saudi building codes and international standards.
• Issue reports and documentation of findings in accordance with codes and standards.
• Take over responsibilities from other Inspectors during emergencies for unassigned projects.
• Describe issues and develop proposed solutions and ensure timely reporting.

Job Description

• Conduct site visit and responsible for inspection of buildings according to Saudi building codes and international standards.
• Issue reports and documentation of findings and comments in accordance with Saudi building codes and international standards.
• Take over responsibilities from other Inspectors for non-assigned projects during emergency leaves.
• Describe and assess technical problems and develop proposed solutions
• Comply with client requirements by delivering the required report on predefined timings
• Handle any project professionally and effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience in construction, testing and inspection in civil engineering.
• Proven experience in Saudi Code.
• Strong knowledge of civil and structural works, including foundations, concrete, steel structures and finishing.
• Preferred experience in IDI program
• Ability to prepare detailed technical reports and documentation.
• Fluent in English language.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and site safety practices.
• Ability to work in a team oriented environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• This role is only open for Saudi nationals.
