Job summary

TradesApp in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, seeks a seasoned Principal Architect who will become General Manager – Architecture & Fit-Out. You will lead operations, project delivery, and design excellence for an established Architecture, Design, Multimedia & Signage company, aiming to expand external client engagement while maintaining strong internal capabilities.

The role combines architectural leadership with business development, client acquisition, and commercial strategy to drive growth across F&B,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
15+ years of professional architectural experience with leadership.
7+ years in a senior management/leadership position.
Strong experience in F&B, restaurant, cafe, retail, hospitality and fit-out projects.
Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams and multiple projects.
Strong knowledge of architecture, interior design, construction, fit-out and delivery.
Business development, client acquisition, and external project development experience.
Strong network within the Saudi/GCC F&B, retail, hospitality and construction market.
Experience managing budgets, profitability, contracts, and negotiations.
Knowledge of BIM and modern architectural/design technologies.
Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and decision-making skills.
Strong understanding of the Saudi market and regulations.

Responsibilities

Lead overall operations, strategy and business performance.
Oversee architecture, interior design, fit-out, signage and related activities.
Manage end-to-end delivery of F&B, restaurant, cafe, retail and commercial projects.
Ensure projects are on time, within budget and quality standards.
Lead and manage architects, designers, project managers, engineers and teams.
Review and approve design concepts, drawings, documents and deliverables.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and stakeholders.
Develop and implement strategies to expand beyond group projects.
Identify and develop new external clients and opportunities across Saudi Arabia.
Build relationships with developers, F&B brands, retailers, hospitality and corporate clients.
Lead client presentations, proposals, negotiations and project opportunities.
Develop pricing, proposals, contracts and commercial strategies with teams.
Monitor profitability, budgets, resources and overall performance.
Establish efficient project management, design, quality and operational processes.
Ensure compliance with Saudi regulations and industry requirements.
Represent the company in meetings, events and business development initiatives.
Drive a culture of innovation, accountability, quality and continuous improvement.
