Responsibilities

• Conducting research on the properties and reactions of matter, including elements and compounds
• Developing new methods of analysis
• Creating materials or substances with specific properties
• Analyzing chemical reactions and their results
• Synthesizing new compounds, using laboratory equipment safely and correctly
• Writing reports on findings and making recommendations to improve processes
• Staying up-to-date with advances in chemistry
• Performing other related duties as assigned
