Job summary

Team Gdc Me is seeking an Instructor Pilot for CH‑47 aircraft in Saudi Arabia. Job description

Responsible for performing duties as an Instructor Pilot in the CH‑47 aircraft and supporting simulation devices. Conducts initial ATP integration, continuation training, and evaluation of employees and customer crew members in accordance with the RSLFAC Aircrew Training Manual and ATM requirements. Conducts academic and hands‑on performance training and administers evaluations to ensure aircrew proficiency and standardization of training. Maintains the Individual Aircrew Training Folder (IATF) and completes required training currency and readiness entries. Provides CH‑47 instruction in a classroom environment and flight training devices, including basic instrument and basic combat skills training to ATM standards in accordance with government‑approved Instructional Training Manuals. Instruction may include any combination of individual or group instruction in an academic classroom environment and/or aircraft or simulator.

Key Responsibilities
  • Train and evaluate aviation pilots in the CH‑47 aircraft in accordance with the RSLFAC‑AVN ATM and specific unit ATP guidelines.
  • Report directly to the Battalion Standardization Officer and work within the policies and procedures of the contract.
  • Select and implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities.
  • Supervise all assigned Instructor Pilots and oversee daily flight training operations, endorsements of customer and additional instructor pilots or unit trainers.
  • Develop an Aviation Aircrew Training Program in accordance with customer guidance.
  • Verify and confirm that all required flight training publications are current and complete.
  • Conduct and evaluate individual readiness level progression tasks, including instrument flight tasks during day and night, NVS/NVG operations, and IFR training.
  • Prepare crew members through realistic mission training flight maneuvers under local environmental conditions, including dust landings and weather‑specific desert training.
  • Provide aircrew proficiency training in Instrument Meteorological Conditions in and outside controlled airspace under FAA and ICAO flight rules.
  • Attend meetings as required with customers, recommend aviation instructor pilot appointments to customer leadership, and serve on the Aviation Safety Council.
  • Attend and provide training and mission planning input to the weekly Production Control and Operations meeting.
  • Provide direct interface and daily status reports on training status, mission assignments, mission planning, and crew status.
Qualifications & Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Qualified as a Pilot in Command.
  • Minimum of 1,500 total flight hours, with at least 300 hours Instructor Pilot time and 250 hours NVS/NVG.
  • Minimum of 1,000 hours PC time, with 300 hours in type aircraft.
  • Graduate of the CH‑47 Instructor Pilot Course (IPC)/Methods of Instruction (MOI) course at an authorized Aviation Proponent School or an IP equivalency evaluation administered by a standardization instructor pilot (SP) selected by the Directorate of Evaluations and Standardization (DES).
  • FAA Commercial Pilot certificate or host nation GACA Pilot certificate required.
  • Combat experience preferred; Instructor Pilot experience at Fort Rucker preferred.
  • Successfully pass the Army, FAA Class II Flight Physical or GACA Flight Physical upon hire and annually thereafter.
  • Knowledge of Army Aviation training concepts, administration, and logistics.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and to coordinate staff and team members.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Must pass a medical examination and a drug test upon hire and be subject to periodic testing.
  • Must have a clean criminal record and be eligible for a Saudi Work Visa.
  • All employment terms and conditions shall comply with Saudi Labor Law.
