Job summary

FAENA Movement in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Cafeteria Attendant to support daily team member dining operations, maintain hygienic, well-stocked service areas, and deliver friendly, efficient service. You will work closely with Culinary, Stewarding, and other departments to uphold the highest cleanliness standards.

The role requires flexibility for shifts, weekends, and holidays, with a focus on food safety and waste reduction in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a cafeteria, restaurant, hotel, catering operation, or similar food service environment is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene and sanitation practices.
• Understanding of food handling and workplace safety procedures.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and shifts, as required by hotel operations.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods and carrying service items.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the cafeteria service and dining areas before, during, and after meal periods.
• Assist with the setup, replenishment, and clearing of food and beverage stations.
• Ensure food, beverages, cutlery, crockery, trays, and other service items are available and properly arranged.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, chairs, counters, service stations, and surrounding areas.
• Clear used dishes, trays, and utensils promptly and transfer them to the designated washing areas.
• Monitor food and beverage stations and replenish items as required during service.
• Provide courteous and efficient service to team members using the cafeteria.
• Follow food hygiene, sanitation, and food safety procedures at all times.
• Ensure food is handled, displayed, and stored according to established hygiene and safety standards.
• Support portion control and minimize food waste in accordance with departmental procedures.
• Assist with receiving and organizing cafeteria supplies when required.
• Report shortages, equipment issues, maintenance requirements, or hygiene concerns to the supervisor.
• Follow proper waste segregation and disposal procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic working environment.
• Support cleaning and closing procedures at the end of each meal period.
• Follow hotel policies, grooming standards, and health and safety procedures.
• Coordinate effectively with Culinary, Stewarding, and other relevant departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
