Job summary

Sofitel in Saudi Arabia (Makkah Region) seeks an experienced butler to deliver personalized luxury service, welcome guests, anticipate needs, and coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping and F&B to ensure flawless stays.

The role requires at least five years in luxury hospitality, supervisory experience, and fluency in English (Arabic desirable). A diploma and possible certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a butler or in a similar role within the luxury hospitality industry
• Proven supervisory experience in managing a team of service professionals
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, team members, and other departments
• Strong leadership abilities and a talent for mentoring and developing staff
• Proficiency in household management software and MS Office suite
• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Superior time management and multitasking abilities
• In-depth knowledge of etiquette, protocol, and luxury service standards
• Familiarity with Middle Eastern customs and etiquette is highly advantageous
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
• Professional butler certification is a plus
• Fluency in English required; proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion at all times
