Amazon Inc. is seeking a Business Development Manager for Oil & Gas in the Middle East. You will own the regional GTM strategy across energy value chain, identifying opportunities from exploration to pipeline operations and driving digital transformation with AWS solutions.
You will engage with energy operators' leaders, shape solutions, and develop reference architectures and content. You will collaborate with AWS teams, partners, and SI to move opportunities from first conversation to signed
Are you passionate about the intersection of cloud technology and the energy industry? Do you want to help some of the world's largest energy companies modernize their operations and accelerate digital transformation across the Middle East?
The Middle East is home to some of the world's most ambitious energy companies: national oil companies operating mega-scale upstream assets, integrated refining and petrochemical complexes, LNG export terminals, and pipeline networks that span entire countries. These organizations are investing billions in digital transformation, and require partners who understand their business from the wellhead to the fuel terminal. AWS is building deep capability across the full energy value chain in this region, and this role sits at the heart of that effort.
As a Technical Business Developer on the AWS Energy team, you will own the regional strategy for energy in the Middle East, identifying where data and AI can generate insights and acceleration across the value chain. You will draw on your own background and that of the strong team around you to help upstream operators accelerate seismic interpretation and reservoir modelling, enable a refinery to optimize throughput using real-time analytics and digital twins, or support a pipeline operator modernize SCADA infrastructure and emissions monitoring. You will need to understand the full energy landscape, from exploration, drilling, and production through to refining, petrochemicals, pipelines, and LNG, because the customers you serve often operate across all of it.
You will work across AWS account teams, ISVs, and systems integrators to shape solutions that fit how these operators actually run, bridging IT/OT convergence, industrial data platforms, subsurface data management, and advanced analytics with the commercial models that make adoption real. You will develop reference architectures and technical content grounded in real operational use cases, whether that is reservoir simulation workflows, turnaround planning, advanced process control, or pipeline integrity management, and build relationships with VP-level engineering and digital leaders at major operators who are making build-vs-buy decisions right now.
You will operate with full autonomy, identifying untapped opportunities, building your own pipeline, and driving complex pursuits from first conversation to signed deal. You will use your guile, industry credibility, and personal network to open doors that cold outreach cannot, seeking out and working with the best minds in the business, whether inside AWS, across our partner ecosystem, or within the customer's own organization, to deliver real outcomes.
You will raise the bar for those around you, mentoring teammates, elevating partner capabilities, and sharing the domain knowledge that helps the broader AWS Energy team win. You will be measured on pipeline generated, solutions adopted, and customer outcomes delivered, not slide decks produced.
This role suits someone who has spent real time in the energy industry, whether that is on a drilling rig, in a control room, on a plant floor, or embedded in an operator's digital transformation programme. You should understand a DCS from a historian, know why OSDU matters, and be able to hold your own in a conversation about reservoir management just as comfortably as turnaround planning or pipeline SCADA modernization. If you have the operational credibility, the commercial instincts, and the drive to help the Middle East's most important energy companies succeed with AWS, we want to hear from you.
