Job summary

United Motors Company in Saudi Arabia seeks an automotive damage assessor to inspect damaged vehicles and estimate repair costs. You will determine the extent of damage across structural, body, mechanical, and interior systems and prepare cost estimates for labor and parts.

Responsibilities include reviewing estimates with the body shop manager, deciding repair feasibility vs replacement, and calculating salvage value when applicable.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Automotive, Engines and Vehicle or related field.
• 0-2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Examine damaged vehicle to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical or interior damage.
• Estimate cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged item.
• Review repair cost estimates with body shop manager.
• Determine feasibility of repair versus replacement of parts such as bumpers, fenders and doors.
• Evaluate practicality of repair as opposed to payment of vehicle market value before accident.
• Determine salvage value on total vehicle loss.
• Prepare insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimates and recommendations.
• Estimate cost of repainting, converting to special purposes or customizing undamaged vehicles.
• Other tasks as assigned.
