Qualificações

• Bachelor-level degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification required (SOCPA/CPA/ACCA/ACA/CA).
• Minimum 10 years of external audit experience in a professional firm.
• At least 3 years in Senior Manager or Director level.
• Strong IFRS/ISA knowledge and regulatory familiarity.

Responsabilidades

• Lead external audit engagements from planning to completion, including group audits.
• Review audit strategies, risks, working papers, and financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, ISA and Saudi regulations and firm methodology.
• Drive audit quality, ethics, independence, and quality controls.
• Oversee client acceptance, technical consultations, and remediation of findings.
• Coach audit managers and teams; conduct performance reviews and training.
• Manage budgets, resources, profitability, billing, and WIP.
• Build client relationships and present audit findings to senior management and audit committees.
• Support business development through proposals, tenders, and fee negotiations while maintaining independence.
• Collaborate with partners to enhance delivery and strategic goals.

Russell Bedford Professional Consultancy is seeking an experienced Audit Director to lead a portfolio of external audit engagements, strengthen audit quality, develop high-performing teams, and contribute to the continued growth of our audit practice.

The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise, professional judgment, commercial awareness, and

proven leadership capabilities to manage complex engagements and support the firm’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of external audit engagements, including complex and group audits, from planning through completion.
• Review audit strategies, significant risks, working papers, financial statements, and audit reports, ensuring appropriate resolution of key audit matters.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, ISA, applicable Saudi regulatory requirements, and the firm’s audit methodology.
• Drive audit quality, professional skepticism, ethical conduct, and compliance with independence and quality management policies.
• Oversee client acceptance and continuance procedures, technical consultations, and remediation of quality review findings.
• Manage, coach, and develop audit managers and engagement teams through performance reviews, mentoring, and technical training.
• Oversee engagement budgets, resource allocation, profitability, billing, collections, and work-in-progress management.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, communicating significant audit findings to senior management and audit committees.
• Support business development activities through proposals, tenders, client presentations, and fee negotiations while maintaining professional independence.
• Collaborate with partners to enhance audit delivery, strengthen team capabilities, and support the practice’s strategic goals.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• A recognized professional accounting qualification such as SOCPA, CPA, ACCA, ACA, CA, or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive external audit experience within a professional accounting firm, including at least 3 years at Senior Manager or Director level.
• Proven experience managing a portfolio of clients and leading complex audit engagements, including group audits.
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, ISA, and applicable regulatory and professional requirements.
• Strong understanding of audit quality management, professional ethics, independence, and engagement risk management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead audit teams, develop talent, and manage multiple concurrent engagements.
• Strong commercial and financial management skills, including engagement profitability and working capital management.
• Proven experience in business development, proposal preparation, and client presentations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and senior stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in audit software and data analytics.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current or previous experience with Big Four or Top Ten accounting firms.
• Saudi Arabian or GCC external audit experience.
• Experience auditing large, multi-entity, or internationally operating organizations.
• Arabic language proficiency is preferred.
