As part of our commitment to developing Saudi talent, we are looking for a motivated recent graduate to join our Finance team through the Tamheer Program.
The Role
This opportunity is designed for a recent accounting graduate who wants practical exposure to the full accounting cycle within a growing technology company.
The Junior Accountant will support daily accounting operations, reconciliations, month-end closing, financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit preparation under the supervision of the Finance Manager.
The role provides broad hands-on experience while building a strong foundation in accounting standards, financial controls, documentation, and technology-driven finance operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and review daily accounting transactions and journal entries.
- Maintain accurate general ledger records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with accounts receivable, customer invoicing, collections, and balance reconciliations.
- Process accounts payable transactions and verify supplier invoices, approvals, and payment documents.
- Perform bank, payment gateway, and other balance sheet reconciliations.
- Maintain schedules for accrued expenses, prepaid expenses, deferred revenue, and other accounting balances.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of revenue recognition schedules.
- Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and supporting documents.
- Review employee expenses, payroll records, reimbursements, and company card transactions.
- Organize accounting documents and maintain complete, audit-ready electronic files.
- Assist with monthly and annual closing activities, including account analysis and closing checklists.
- Prepare supporting schedules for the trial balance, financial statements, and management reports.
- Support VAT, withholding tax, Zakat, and other regulatory compliance activities.
- Assist in responding to auditor requests and preparing audit working papers and confirmations.
- Investigate accounting differences, missing documents, and unreconciled balances, and follow up until resolution.
- Update financial systems, spreadsheets, and accounting databases accurately and on time.
- Support the improvement and documentation of finance processes, policies, and internal controls.
- Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Customer Success, HR, and other teams to obtain required financial information.
- Assist the Finance Manager with financial analysis, special projects, and other accounting assignments.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Eligibility to participate in the Tamheer Program.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and the accounting cycle.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, PivotTables, and data reconciliation.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet agreed deadlines.
- Ability to handle confidential financial and business information professionally.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.
- Willingness to learn, receive feedback, and take responsibility for assigned accounting tasks.
- Ability to work independently on routine activities while escalating unusual or material matters appropriately.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Makkah.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship or cooperative training in accounting, audit, or finance.
- Familiarity with accounting systems or ERP software.
- Basic knowledge of Saudi VAT and ZATCA requirements.
- Basic understanding of IFRS or IFRS for SMEs.
