Job summary

A leading construction services company in Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to support the Resident Engineer in overseeing daily site activities. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with approved specifications and quality standards, as well as actively monitor contractor work execution. An ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or a related field, 10–15 years of relevant experience, and strong knowledge of Saudi building codes. This role emphasizes communication and supervision skills within a fast-paced environment.

Job description
  • Support the Resident Engineer in supervising daily site activities across assigned disciplines (civil, structural, architectural, or MEP).
  • Monitor contractor work execution to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
  • Review daily site reports, material deliveries, work permits, and work inspection requests (WIRs).
  • Conduct site walkdowns with the CSC site team to verify progress, workmanship, and safety compliance.
  • Performs technical reviews and inspections for work activities according to the
  • Ensure quality standards are met and report non-conformances (NCRs) where
    required.
  • Coordinate with the QA/QC team and contractor to close NCRs, snags, and punch lists.
  • Verify correct implementation of approved shop drawings and construction
    details.
  • Review shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, and method statements before escalating to the RE.
  • Assist in resolving technical queries and design discrepancies on site.
  • Coordinate with design consultants, utilities, and authorities when required.
  • Track contractor productivity and report deviations to the RE.
  • Support preparation of weekly and monthly progress reports.
  • Maintain updated logs for inspections, materials, RFIs, shop drawings, and site
    issues.
  • Identify delays and assist in assessing schedule impacts.
  • Ensure that contractor activities adhere to HSE requirements and permit-to-work systems.
  • Participate in HSE audits, toolbox talks, and risk assessments with the HSE team.
  • Stop unsafe work and report hazards to the RE and HSE Manager.
  • Assist in verifying quantities, variations, and contractor claims.
  • Ensure that site works follow contractual requirements and specifications.
  • Support the RE in monitoring compliance with milestone deadlines.
  • Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, inspectors, and discipline engineers.
  • Coordinate interfaces with utilities (e.g., SEC, NWC, STC), municipalities, and other project entities.
  • Support communication between the RE, project controls, and supervision teams.
  • Participate in pre-commissioning inspections, systems testing, and snagging
    activities.
  • Support validation of test reports, as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and handover documentation.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical
    Engineering.
  • 10–15 years of experience in construction supervision, including large projects in KSA or the GCC.
  • Strong knowledge of site execution, quality control procedures, and Saudi building codes.
  • Experience working with or for a Supervision Consultant or PMC is preferred.
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities.
  • Proactive attitude and problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in fast-paced environments.
  • Team player with strong attention to detail.
  • Understanding of drawings, specifications, ITPs, and construction sequencing.
  • Ability to review shop drawings, materials, RFIs, and method statements.
  • Familiarity with project controls (progress measurement, logs, documentation).
  • Knowledge of relevant standards (ASTM, ACI, BS/EN, NFPA, local authority standards).
