Job Summary

The Assistant IT Manager is responsible for managing day‑to‑day operation and liaising with the Information Technology Manager to ensure the smooth functioning of the Information Technology Department. The role assists in establishing hardware maintenance programs and procedures, ensuring the security of data storage and protection.

As Assistant IT Manager, We Rely On You To
  • Ensure that critical application systems to the hotel like Opera PMS, Infrasys POS, Call Accounting System, Check EAM, Messaging System, and corresponding hardware are running.
  • Attend to users’ Information Technology related problems both hardware and application systems.
  • Implement day‑to‑day standard Information Technology operating procedures (including checklist) properly and incorporate new requirements as needed.
  • Create, develop new application systems and enhancements to existing systems that benefit departmental day‑to‑day operations and the hotel.
  • Plan and continuously seek new ways that may improve Information Technology related areas and provide feedback/recommendations to Management.
  • Practice and role‑model the Guiding Principles and Core Values of Shangri‑La Hospitality.
  • Be environmentally friendly, reduce waste, recycle when possible, and reuse whenever applicable.
  • Be familiar with CSR initiatives, policies, procedures, guidelines, rules, and regulations per company CSR, including local and national government initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance and apply all CSR job‑related decisions and activities to achieve the hotel’s CSR goals and objectives.
