Job summary

Albawani is seeking an Architectural Engineer to support delivery of architectural works on site, reviewing design and construction activities under the Design Manager, and coordinating with project teams to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.

The role involves providing on-site engineering support, producing red line drawings, coordinating with structural and MEPF teams, and assisting with QA/QC, RFIs, and technical queries to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture Engineering.
• 4–7 years of relevant construction/design experience.
• Experience reviewing drawings, submittals, and site support.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM tools.
• Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, and QA/QC processes.

Role Purpose:

The Architectural Engineer supports the delivery of architectural works by assisting in the review, coordination, and implementation of design and construction activities on site. Working under the guidance of the Senior Architectural Engineer and reporting to the Design Manager, the role contributes to shop drawing reviews, site inspections, technical documentation, and multidisciplinary coordination to ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day architectural engineering support on site, addressing construction queries, RFIs, and technical clarifications.
• Review architectural works on site to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, mock-ups, and samples.
• Identify architectural site issues, discrepancies, or non-conformance and support their resolution in coordination with the Senior Architectural Engineer.
• Assist in producing red line drawings and as-built markups based on site conditions.
• Provide hands-on drafting support (AutoCAD/Revit) when required, ensuring timely resolution of site issues without over-reliance on dedicated drafting resources.
• Ensure that all issued sketches/drawings are clear, coordinated, and aligned with approved design intent.
• Review architectural shop drawings, material submittals, and samples under supervision.
• Ensure compliance with design intent, specifications, and project standards.
• Assist in preparing responses to RFIs and Technical Queries (TQs).
• Support documentation and tracking of NCRs and site observations.
• Coordinate with structural, MEPF, façade, and fit-out teams for smooth execution.
• Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers on technical matters.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Architecture).
• Minimum 4–7 years of relevant experience in construction or design projects.
• Experience in reviewing drawings, submittals, and supporting site execution.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM tools.
• Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, and construction workflows.
• Basic knowledge of QA/QC processes and site inspections.
