Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Architectural Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will complete highly-technical, complex integrated design assignments, utilizing 2D or 3D CAD methods and your expertise to deliver innovative, buildable, and compliant design solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Complete the most complex and difficult integrated designs and layouts for complete systems and components of projects.

  • Develop design elements where no established precedents exist, using creativity to anticipate problems and deliver solutions early in the design stage.

  • Perform front-end layout and design of complex systems and equipment.

  • Ensure compliance with required specifications, tolerances, safety factors, environmental, and client requirements.

  • Perform specialized design computations and analysis within the discipline.

  • Conduct interdisciplinary reviews and coordinate data to ensure compatible and sustainable designs.

  • Apply company design standards and methods; establish or revise guidelines and standards when necessary.

  • Review supplier data and manufacturer drawings, making relevant observations and comments.

  • Check orthographic (2D) and isometric (3D) drawings prepared by others, providing direction to checking personnel and ensuring mathematical accuracy.

  • Collaborate with client groups, Engineers, and other disciplines to ensure design quality and buildability.

  • Assist in training lower-level Designers in procedures and best practices.

  • Lead others on projects, ensuring compliance with industry codes, as well as project and company standards.

  • Prepare manpower estimates, as required.

  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Key Relationships:

  • Supervision Received: Project Designer, Supervising Designer, Engineers

  • Supervision Given: Lower-level Designers (technical guidance only)

  • Internal Contacts: All employees on project

  • External Contacts: Clients, Suppliers, Fabricators, Government entities, 3rd Party Utility Providers

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

  • BSc degree in Architectural Design (or equivalent) from an accredited and recognized university.

  • 10+ years of related architectural engineering experience.

  • Strong PC and CAD skills with efficiency in utilizing design software to complete assignments.

  • Ability to present design work effectively to diverse stakeholders.

  • Willingness to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.

  • KSA driving license

  • Ensures adherence to all corporate, contractual, ethics and safety standards, policies, and procedures..
