Job summary

QSS AI & ROBOTICS seeks an Android Mobile Application Developer with 3+ years of experience to design, build, and maintain apps for robotic systems. You will integrate backend services and APIs, optimize performance, and ensure high-quality mobile solutions.

You will collaborate with software, robotics, AI, QA, and project teams to deliver reliable, scalable applications and contribute to production deployments via Google Play.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of backend development using Node.js, Python, Java, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with backend frameworks such as Express.js, FastAPI, Django, or Spring Boot.
• Understanding of databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Experience with Firebase services, including Firebase Cloud Messaging and Crashlytics.
• Experience with Kotlin Coroutines, Flow, and asynchronous programming.
• Familiarity with Jetpack Compose and modern Android UI development.
• Experience with WebSockets, real-time communication, and event-driven applications.
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and automated mobile application deployment.
• Experience developing mobile applications for robotic systems, IoT devices, or connected hardware.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance native Android mobile applications for robotic systems.
• Develop clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code using Kotlin and/or Java.
• Build responsive and user-friendly mobile interfaces following Android development best practices.
• Integrate mobile applications with RESTful APIs, backend services, and third-party systems.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and secure data handling within mobile applications.
• Manage application data, local storage, caching, and synchronization.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application crashes, bugs, and performance issues.
• Optimize application performance, responsiveness, memory usage, and stability.
• Implement push notifications, background services, and real-time data updates where required.
• Collaborate with backend developers to define API requirements.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and application release processes.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation for mobile applications and integrations.
• Support application deployment, updates, and maintenance through Google Play Store.
• Work closely with QA engineers to identify and resolve issues before production releases.
• Collaborate with robotics, AI, software, and project teams to ensure successful application development and integration.
