Job summary

HudHud Maps is seeking an experienced Android engineer to design, develop and maintain high-performance Android applications. You will collaborate with backend and design teams to define features, implement UI components, and ship reliable updates that delight users.

Candidates should have 5+ years of Android development, strong Kotlin, a passion for native development, and MapLibre knowledge is a plus. You should be proficient with RESTful APIs, OAuth2 authentication, testing, and map SDKs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Android development experience.
• Proficient with Kotlin and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with testing frameworks (unit/UI tests).
• Map libraries experience preferred (MapLibre or similar).

Key Responsibilities

• Android App Development Design develop and maintain high-performance and reliable Android applications Collaborate with backend and design teams to define design and ship new features
• Code Review and Optimization Conduct code reviews to ensure the quality and performance of the codebase Identify and implement optimizations to enhance the efficiency of existing code
• Technical Problem Solving Troubleshoot debug and resolve technical issues in existing code Stay up-to-date with the latest Android development trends tools and technologies
• Collaborative Development Collaborate with team members from various disciplines to deliver high-quality software solutions

Qualifications

• Experience 5 years experience developing and deploying Android applications
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin
• Native development is your passion
• Maplibre knowledge is a plus

Skills

• Up to date with modern Android frameworks such as Kotlin and async await You work with RESTful APIs everyday and have experience with authentication frameworks such as OAuth2 to connect Android applications to back-end services
• Solid understanding of Android design principles and Human Interface Guidelines
• Writing unit and UI Tests using Mokito and others
• You ve worked in depth with a map SDK before be it MapLibre Apple Maps Google Maps ESRI or similar
