Job summary

GDC Middle East الشركة السعودية لتهيئة و صيانة الطائرات seeks an Airfield Operations Specialist to support rotary wing training and flight activities. You will assist the Airfield Manager and ensure safe, efficient operations across airfield environments.

You will coordinate with aircrews, ATC, and base agencies, brief crews on procedures, and prepare aviation reports while complying with ICAO and GACA guidelines. Travel within Saudi Arabia may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Airfield Manager in airfield flight operations tasks for rotary wing operations.

• Prepare aviation operations reports, safety reports, and flight schedules.
• Conduct daily airfield inspections of runways, taxiways, aprons, signs and lighting.
• Monitor and operate communications systems coordinating with flight crews and ATC.
• Enforce ICAO and GACA guidelines in airfield operations.
• Travel within Saudi Arabia as required.

Job Requirements:

Possesses general knowledge and experience in Airfield Management tasks specific in both a training and operational environment. Executes daily airfield management tasks in support of all operations of Rotary Wing Operations. Supports airfield operations and support activities to ensure safe and effective training and operations.

Major Duties and Responsibilites:

• 1- Responsible for assisting the Airfield Manager in the execution of airfield flight operations tasks and execution of all functions, activities, and flight operations procedures in support of rotary wing operations. Responsible for supporting the safe operation, employment, maintenance, and flight procedures of rotary wing aircraft.
• 2- Coordinates with aircrews, air traffic control, and various base agencies that provide for safe operation of aircraft in the airfield environment.
• 3- Brief aircrews on local training and departure flight planning procedures.
• 4- Compiles, prepares, and distributes correspondence, such as aviation operations reports, aviation safety reports and flight schedules.
• 5- Performs daily airfield inspections and checks to include runways, taxiways, aprons, pavements, signs, lighting and airfield safety clearance zones.
• 6- Procures, maintains, and produces information for safe airfield operations. Information includes flight plans, Flight Information Publications, aeronautical charts and maps, Notice to Airmen (NOTAM), local airfield and navigational aid status, and weather information.
• 7- Monitor and operate various communications systems used for communication to coordinate with aircraft flight crews, emergency response crews, refuel, security forces, and air traffic control service providers.
• 8- Review, interprets and enforce policies, instruction and directives pertaining to airfield operations.
• 9- Manages flight line driving program to include operational procedures, training and certification requirements.
• 10- Respond to and manage airfield aircraft emergency and accidents/incidents, and downed aircraft recovery mission
• 11- Reports to the Senior Airfield Manager.
• 12- Works within the rules and regulations of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and General Authority for Civil Aviation (GACA) guidelines.
• 13- Supervisory Responsibilities as assigned by the Airfield Manager.
• 14- Travel within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia may be required in the performance of duties.
