Job summary

WSP in the Middle East is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the Aircraft Hangar Development Project in Riyadh, acting as the Project Management Consultant (PMC). You will oversee planning, coordination, and delivery from design through handover, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality.

The role requires senior leadership, extensive stakeholder engagement, and strong knowledge of project controls, risk management, and international construction standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/related field required; Master's preferred.
• Minimum 20 years of total experience in project management and construction delivery.
• Minimum 10 years as Senior PM or Project Director on large-scale building or aviation projects.
• Experience delivering aircraft hangars, airports, aviation infrastructure or complex industrial developments.
• PMC/PMCM consultancy experience mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of project controls, contract administration, risk management, and stakeholder management.
• Fluent in English; Arabic an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the PMC team throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee integrated project controls for planning, scheduling, cost, risk, and performance data.
• Be the primary client/contractor/designer contact and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Oversee planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and resource allocation.
• Review and approve project execution plans, methodologies, and recovery plans.
• Ensure compliance with scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements.
• Manage design coordination and resolve technical and commercial issues.
• Lead progress reviews and provide strategic direction to project teams.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Monitor KPIs, milestones, and overall performance.
• Ensure compliance with aviation, building, and regulatory standards.
• Oversee change management, variation reviews, and claims assessments.
• Facilitate procurement support, tender evaluations, and contractor selection.
• Promote safety, quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Drive successful project handover, close-out, and lessons learned.
