Job description
Position Summary

The Accreditation Officer evaluates hospital performance for accreditation by conducting on-site assessments and reviewing submitted evidence. They produce reports highlighting best practices, areas for improvement, and necessary follow-up actions to meet accreditation standards.

Responsibilities
  • Perform on-site evaluations of healthcare facilities to assess compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Review documentation and evidence provided by the hospital; Identify requirements to be addressed by the hospital with associated timeframes for completion.
  • Monitor the hospital performance against the relevant international and national standards to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Evaluate hospital operations, clinical practices, and administrative processes against established benchmarks.
  • Identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas of non-compliance.
  • Develop detailed reports summarizing findings from assessments.
  • Provide clear, actionable recommendations to address deficiencies.
  • Outline follow-up actions required for accreditation compliance.
  • Collaborate with KKESH&RC staff to determine pre-accreditation evidence needed in advance of on-site assessment; Provide guidance and clarification on accreditation requirements.
  • Interpret and apply standards consistently during assessments.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to Quality Management Director and relevant departments.
  • Encourage a culture of quality and continuous improvement within healthcare organizations; Share best practices and support hospitals in implementing improvements.
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion and in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Stay updated on national and international healthcare accreditation standards.
  • Performs all duties in a professional, effective and confidential manner.
  • Performs all other related duties as required or assigned.
