Job summary

Middle East Specialized Cables (MESC) is seeking an Accounts Receivable - AR Accountant to manage customer accounts, invoicing, collections, and cash applications using SAP ERP. The role ensures accurate AR records, timely collections, and compliance with company policies and IFRS.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of AR experience, strong Excel skills, and a solid understanding of AR processes and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance is required.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles, AR processes, and financial reporting.
• Experience with customer reconciliation, cash application, collections, and aging analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, lookup functions, and data analysis.
• Knowledge of IFRS and applicable tax regulations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and process customer invoices, credit notes, debit notes, and other billing documents.
• Maintain accurate customer account balances and AR records in SAP.
• Monitor customer payments and ensure timely allocation of receipts against outstanding invoices.
• Perform customer account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage customer statements and respond to billing and payment inquiries.
• Maintain accurate AR subledger records and ensure reconciliation with the general ledger.
• Follow up with customers regarding overdue invoices and outstanding balances.
• Prepare monthly AR reports, collection reports, and overdue balance analysis.
• Reconcile AR subledger balances with the general ledger.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
