Job summary

Chalhoub Group in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting department, ensure IFRS compliance, coordinate audits, and deliver timely financial reporting. You will lead a team, drive process improvements, and align local practices with group standards.

The role requires 7–10 years of accounting experience, 4–5 years in a leadership role, and professional certifications like CMA or SOCPA are a plus.

What you'll be doing

Accounting:

Manage & oversee the daily operations of the accounting department

Prepare and review appropriate ledger accounting data

Maintain the general ledger system and prepare monthly financial statements

Provide accurate data and recommendations to controlling team and CFO

Ensure that all accounting processes align with IFRS and current local financial legislations Ensure that all major projects, month-end, and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time

Coordinate and complete annual audits

Improve processes and initiate corrective actions

Help to uniformize processes between all brands at local level

Reporting of the P&L and BS to HQ

Tax:

Facilitate and manage the preparation of all the company’s tax forms (tax returns, income tax, withholding tax)

Ensure accurate, timely filing of all tax forms

Plan for and develop overall filing calendar

Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process

Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments

Help in the frame of the new income tax implementation in the coming months

Provide support with various internal audits and special tax related projects

Compliance:

Help controlling team with all compliance requirements

Ensure a robust control environment in line with Group standards and policies

What you’ll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

• Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience.

• At least 4–5 years of experience in an Accounting Manager or similar leadership role.

• Strong knowledge of IFRS, local financial regulations, financial reporting, and tax compliance.

• Demonstrated experience in leading month-end and year-end closing, audit coordination, and process improvement.

• Proven ability to manage, coach, and develop an accounting team.

• CMA, SOCPA, or another relevant professional certification is an advantage.
