Job summary

Rotana Hotels seeks a passionate A/C Technician for Dar Rayhaan by Rotana to install, service and repair temperature and air quality control systems.

Responsibilities include maintaining refrigeration and VRF systems, performing preventive maintenance, and coordinating with engineering to resolve faults while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining electrical and mechanical refrigeration systems in large facilities.
• Familiar with walk-in coolers/freezers and defrost systems.
• Ability to follow country technical regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain and service electrical and mechanical refrigeration systems in the hotel.
• Maintain preventive maintenance on air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Check performance of refrigeration systems and components.
• Verify door closing systems on walk-in coolers/freezers.
• Check and maintain defrosting systems and ice-maker automation.
• Handle maintenance requests from all departments.
• Ensure routine cleaning of fan coil units and AHU filters.
• Coordinate with engineering to diagnose failures in air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Ensure safe venting of CFCs.
• Overhaul AC/VRF/refrigeration equipment.
• Monitor refrigerant and oil levels; assist with major repairs.
• Inform Engineering Storekeeper on parts purchase.
• Follow country technical regulations and safety standards.

This position is based at Dar Rayhaan by Rotana

As an A/C Technician you are responsible to install, service and repair temperature and air quality control systems and your role will include key responsibilities such as:

• Repair, maintain and provide technical attention to all electrical and mechanical refrigeration systems of the hotel - freezer, fridges, ice makers, fan coil units, VRF System, etc.
• Maintain preventively all air-conditioning and refrigeration systems within the hotel
• Check on performance of refrigeration systems and components
• Verify all door closing systems on walk in coolers / freezer (door gaskets / latches)
• Check and maintain all defrosting systems and automation of ice makers
• Work on maintenance requests from all departments
• Ensure routine cleaning of fan coil units and air-handling unit filters
• Check on performance of air-conditioning and VRF systems
• Cooperate with all engineering colleagues in detention of failures of air-condition and refrigeration system and function set up
• Strict control on venting of CFC’s to atmosphere
• Overhauling of air-condition/VRF System / refrigeration equipment and systems
• Check all refrigeration and oil levels and control of major repairs
• Cooperate and inform Engineering Storekeeper on purchase of parts
• Carry out all works as per the country technical regulations and safety standards
