Job summary

BAE Systems in Qatar seeks an experienced Weapons Junior Supervisor to oversee maintenance on Typhoon aircraft and components, ensuring airworthiness and timely task authorisation. The role involves guiding a skilled team, fault analysis, and adherence to regulatory procedures within an AMC framework.

You will lead maintenance activities, monitor performance, provide on-the-job training, and ensure thorough documentation and reporting to sustain aircraft readiness.

Qualifications

• Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship, ideally in Aeronautical Engineering or Military equivalent apprenticeship / qualifications
• Typically 3+ years’ experience including Typhoon type
• Academic qualification for this role is a minimum of City & Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance
• Typhoon Composite Flight Servicing
• Engineering- HNC or equivalent experience
• Leadership-Foundation
• Human Factors
• E&PW Awareness
• ITAR Awareness

Responsibilities

• Undertaking and completing tasked maintenance & diagnostic activities on the Typhoon aircraft or weapons systems/components.
• Undertaking detailed maintenance, inspection and supervision activities on an aircraft or aircraft components, ensuring work complies with SOW/Work package.
• Ensuring staff are competent and approved for the allocated maintenance tasks, maintaining task authorisation.
• Provide guidance and leadership to the team and develop members through assessment processes.
• Undertaking fault evaluation and raising ad hoc work cards for found faults during maintenance.
• Supervising the team to ensure maintenance is on schedule and escalating issues as needed.
