Job summary

BAE Systems Strategic Aerospace Services WLL in Dukhan, Qatar, seeks a Mechanical Junior Supervisor – Base Maintenance to perform detailed maintenance activities on the Typhoon aircraft and components, supervising skilled technicians.

The role requires an excellent understanding of approved technical data, strong leadership, fault diagnosis skills, and the ability to guide less experienced team members while maintaining safety, quality, and adherence to MOE/FMP procedures.

Qualifications

• Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent in Aeronautical Engineering.
• City & Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance.
• Broad experience and currency in aviation maintenance.
• Minimum 2 years at technician level before supervision.
• Knowledge of MOE and Functionally Mandated Procedures.

Responsibilities

• Undertake detailed maintenance and supervision on Typhoon aircraft.
• Ensure work aligns with the work package and approved data.
• Diagnose faults and manage component removals, inspections and tests.
• Provide guidance to team and maintain logbooks.
• Maintain staff competence and MOE/FMP compliance.
